Welcome
I’m so glad you’ve met me in this space where strangers can become friends, in this place where shared burdens can become lighter. I want you to be informed, educated, and inspired in this space, but mostly friend, I want to celebrate this life with you even in hard the places. I want to live each moment recognizing that this life is a gift.
Life is hard and messy, and it rarely goes as we plan. If you are living a life that looks different than you imagined and often feels like more than you can bear, I am too. Let’s not run from the hard and pretend it doesn’t exist. Let’s not wait for the hard to pass to start living. Let’s celebrate life in the middle of the hard, and let’s choose to love God anyway. Let’s shout praises together in the middle of the good, the bad, and the mundane. He is worthy, my friend. God is still good when life hurts, and He wants to meet you in the middle of your hard places.
My heart’s desire is to be a cheerleader for the special needs mom and to remind her that she is enough. I want the mama who just received a life changing diagnosis to know that she isn’t alone. I want to remind her that God has equipped her to be exactly who her child needs her to be. There is a tension that exist when you are living with a child who isn’t healed. There are good days, bad days, and everything in between, and I want to be brave enough to talk about them all.
I don’t know what hard looks like for you. My hard is easy to see. It looks like a baby in a wheelchair. It looks like a thousand prayers for healing and still having a paralyzed child. Hard hurts no matter what it looks like, but hard can lead to amazing. I am certain of it. That’s my story, and it can be yours too if you have the courage to look for it.
